Rylands 1 Congleton Vale 3.

RYLANDS’ winless run in the Cheshire Football League’s Premier Division stretched to three games against Congleton Vale on Saturday.

After Wade Muscart hit the post for Rylands, the visitors struck first at Gorsey Lane when Jacob Hilditch’s long-range effort flew into the top corner.

They doubled the lead after the hour as Rylands failed to clear a corner and Carl McCurrie headed home from close range.

However, Rylands did not lie down and substitute Randeep Dhaliwal pulled one back after a neat one-two with James Daniels to give the hosts a lifeline.

However after Rylands’ goalkeeper Conor Yarwood was sent off, Ryan Read dispatched a penalty to make it 3-1.

Greenalls PSO 1 Eagle Sports 3.

EAGLE Sports claimed their first league win of the season at the tenth attempt as they saw off neighbours Greenalls PSO.

Ged McAllister struck twice for the visitors, while Alex Briscoe was also on the scoresheet at Long Lane on Saturday.

George Hynes scored for the hosts, who also had Stephen Dowsett sent off.

Eagle host South Liverpool in the LCFA Challenge Cup this weekend, while Greenalls are in league action at high-flying Wythenshawe Town.
