Blyth Spartans 0 Warrington Town 3.

WARRINGTON Town catapulted themselves into the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off places with an impressive victory at Blyth Spartans.

A second victory in a row for Stuart Mellish’s side also makes them joint-top goalscorers in the division with 24 goals in 13 league games.

They took an early lead when Gerard Kinsella got to the byline and crossed for new signing Tom Peers to head in his second goal in as many games since joining the club from AFC Telford.

Kinsella was causing problems again shortly after as Town doubled their lead when his delivery fell for Scott Metcalfe to slide home, with the goal coming just a minute after Ciaran Kilheeney had one ruled out for offside.

Yellows skipper Kilheeney did get his goal just after the hour to seal the victory when he jinked past two defenders before finishing coolly, ensuring his side made the long trip back from the North East with the points.
