RYLANDS held on to secure the derby spoils with a 3-2 victory over Eagle Sports on Tuesday night, their first win of the new season.
Goals from Michael Sullivan, Jordan Rigby and Kristian Bell gave them a commanding half-time lead, but Stephen Latham was sent off after the break and Eagle fought back through goals from Ged McDonald and Alex Deakin.
It is now five defeats in a row for Eagle, who were beaten 2-0 at Styal on Saturday while Rylands lost 3-2 at home to Crewe FC on the same day.
Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds slipped to two defeats this week, with a 3-0 loss to Whaley Bridge on Saturday being followed by a 1-0 home reverse against Denton.
In League One, goals from Adam Campbell, David Kellett and Ross Dryden gave Daten a 3-2 victory over Pilkington on Tuesday to ensure they bounced back from Saturday’s 4-1 hammering at St Helens Town.
Porya Ahmadi and Conor Speed scored twice each to help Warrington Town reserves to a 5-1 win at AFC Macclesfield, while Grappenhall Sports were beaten 3-0 at Mersey Valley.
Ryan Jones and Stuart Smith struck to ensure a 2-1 midweek victory for Orford against Barnton reserves, while Moore United slipped to a 4-0 home defeat to Deva Christleton on Saturday.
