LONGFORD's Jesse Lingard was a Wembley goalscorer again as Manchester United beat Leicester City to win the Community Shield.
The former William Beamont High pupil, who scored United's winner in last season's FA Cup Final win over Crystal Palace, gave his side the lead with a brilliant solo goal in new boss Jose Mourinho's first competitive game in charge.
England striker Jamie Vardy equalised for the Premier League champions, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's late winner ensured Lingard was celebrating silverware at the national stadium again.
Lingard looks set to feature as United open their league campaign at Bournemouth next Sunday.
