WARRINGTON Town’s FA Cup goalscoring hero Craig Robinson has left the club to prolong his playing career.
The 35-year-old defender, who was used in a player-coach capacity towards the back end of last season, has linked up with Trafford ahead of the new season.
His route to the first team has been blocked by the partnership formed between Daniel O’Donnell and Jay McCarten in central defence, while the club have also signed defender Andrew Nicholas from Marine.
Robinson, whose older brother Karl currently managed League One outfit Milton Keynes Dons, will go down in Yellows folklore for his winning goal in the FA Cup first round against League Two side Exeter City in November 2014.
