WARRINGTON Town have announced two more new signings ahead of the new season, but four of the promotion-winning squad will be leaving Cantilever Park.

Yellows boss Stuart Mellish has secured the signing of midfielder Scott Harries from Clitheroe, while experienced defender Andrew Nicholas has joined from Marine.

Harries was named in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North Team of the Year through his efforts for Clitheroe last season and the speedy winger has a plethora of non-league experience despite still being in his early twenties.

The winger can count Northwich Victoria, AFC Fylde, Squires Gate and Ashton United amongst his former clubs.

At the other end of the scale, 32-year-old Nicholas is a well-travelled centre-half who began his career at Liverpool before playing in the Football League for the likes of Swindon Town and Rotherham United.

He has also featured for Mansfield Town, Barrow and Vauxhall Motors before joining Marine for last season.

As Mellish shapes his squad for next season, defenders Ally Brown and Michael Lea have been told they are free to find new clubs, as well as midfielders Joe Holt and Warren Beattie.

Brown joined from Trafford before the start of last season, while former Manchester United trainee Lea spent the last few months of the season with the club.

Holt also joined the club in January from Cammell Laird, while former Preston North End reserve team captain Beattie arrived from Kendal Town in 2015 but all four will now leave the club.
