AFTER today’s results, all is set for Warrington Town to win the title in front of their own fans .
The Yellows won 1-0 at Glossop North End this afternoon, while the only other title contenders Spennymoor won at home to Bamber Bridge by the same scoreline.
The Yellows need just one more point from their remaining games to be crowned champions of the Evo-stik Northern Premier League First Division North, with the next outing being against Prescot Cables at Cantilever Park next Saturday in what will be an all-ticket affair.
Stuart Mellish’s men sealed the three points, and their 31st win from 39 outings, today with a 54th minute strike from their skipper and leading marksman Ciaran Kilheeney.
Glossop keeper Andy Robertson spilled a shot from Scott Metcalfe and the prolific Kilheeney was on hand to bury home the rebound.
Town had come close to going ahead in the 26th minute when Joe Holt’s deflected shot hit the crossbar.
The Yellows, with three games left to play, are on 97 points and Spennymoor are on 88.
More than 600 of the 2,000 available tickets have already been sold for what is potentially a championship party next Saturday.
Tickets will next be on sale from the sponsor’s lounge at Cantilever Park from 8am to 8pm on Monday.
