Warrington Wolverines 3-2 Liverpool City Ladies
WARRINGTON Wolverines made hard work of earning three points against Liverpool City Ladies last weekend, but they could and perhaps should have scored more.
On a day of awful weather, two goals from player-of-the-match Sam Hassall and one from Kaydi McHugh proved enough to edge out their opponents.
The scoreline did not reflect the game as there were plenty of chances created in both halves for Warrington but only three put into the back of the net.
The Wolverines, however, made sure they won the three points ahead of a tough away clash with MerseyRail Bootle next week.
