ORFORD made crucial ground in a hunt for the Warrington and District Premier Division title after a 3-0 win at St Michaels on Saturday.
Both sides cancelled each other out in a tight first half before Daniel Wilcock showed nimble feet to put the visitors ahead.
Captain Liam Moran then defied a tight angle to double the lead before top scorer Liam McLoughlin scored from outside the area to seal victory.
Bottom side Orford Reserves gained a creditable 1-1 draw at runaway leaders Woolston in Division Two, with substitute Declan Wakefield scoring for the visitors.
Orford Thirds were on the road in Division Four, and returned with a point after drawing with Moorfield reserves thanks to a goal from Glenn Blenkinsopp.
