CHESHIRE FA is seeking nominations for their annual awards, which aim to recognise and reward grassroots clubs, coaches and volunteers across the county who keep the national game alive.

Nominees can be from any walk of life and the Cheshire FA is calling on locals to nominate their unsung heroes who have gone above and beyond in the name of football.

The categories are:

Facility of the Year

Administrator of the Year

Welfare Officer of the Year

Coach of the Year

Development Programme of the Year

Social Media & Technology Award

Respect & Fair Play Club Award

FA MCDONALD’S COMMUNITY AWARDS:

Young Volunteer of the Year (Under 25)

Volunteer of the Year

FA Charter Standard Club of the Year

FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year

FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year

FA Charter Standard League of the Year

People’s Award - Outstanding Contribution to Community Football

Nominations close on Thursday, March 31 and the winners will be invited to receive their awards at an event being held at Carden Park on Friday, June 3.

“The Cheshire FA and The FA McDonald’s Community Awards are an absolutely brilliant way to celebrate the selflessness of all those volunteers, clubs and leagues and the innumerable hours they put into supporting grassroots football,” said Simon Gerrard, Cheshire FA Chief Executive.

“Last year’s awards shone the spotlight on some incredible individuals and the work they do in in Cheshire, and I would encourage everyone involved in grassroots football to vote for someone who they think truly deserves an award.”
