MANAGER Danny Salt has urged his players to kick-start their Premier Division title challenge by completing a Cheshire League double against Rudheath Social this Saturday.

They start the contest sixth in the standings but with games in hand on every rival above them.

And there will be no distractions following a semi-final exit in the JB Parker Challenge Cup on Saturday.

“I’m disappointed to go out, but we can now focus fully on the league,” said Salt.

“We played well for long periods, but left ourselves with too much to do after going 2-0 down.”

There was regret too when Jimmy Daniels’ header, after the Warrington outfit had already halved their arrears, was judged to have not crossed the line.

Dan Sisson’s appeal for a spot-kick was turned down too.

Jack Gregory fired the visitors in front, a lead they doubled after half an hour when Ray Dwolitka finished smartly at the end of a counter-attack.

Rylands reduced the deficit when Kris Bell was first to a loose ball in the box before slotting home.

Kick off at Gorsey Lane this Saturday is 3pm.

Rylands: Matt Latham, Roberts, Southern (Gibson 33), France, Wilson, Stephen Latham, Swann, McCarthy, Bell (Odi Koubemba 50), Daniels, Sisson.
