GRAPPENHALL Sports were unable to prevent FC St Helens taking over top spot in Group B of the JA Walton Cup on Saturday.
Dan Sisson scored the only goal for second-placed Grappenhall in a 3-1 loss.
Warrington Town Reserves top Group C after beating Tarporley Victoria 2-1 at home to give them 12 points from five games. Rhys Bowers and Dylan Glass netted.
Rylands remain nine points clear at the top of Reserve League Two after beating Cuddington 7-0 at home.
Ryan Matthews and Dave Morley both scored twice, while Andy Williams, Mike Southern and Joe Thomas also hit home.
