WARRINGTON Town kept the heat on leaders Northwich Victoria with a 5-2 win at Clitheroe.
The Yellows remain second in Evo-Stik First Division North on points difference after today making it eight league games without defeat, while Vics won 3-0 at Scarborough Athletic.
Shaun Reid's men with winning 3-0 inside 26 minutes in similar fashion to the eventual 4-1 success against Trafford on their last outing.
Two goals from Chris Gahgan in the sixth and 11th minutes were added to by a strike from skipper Ciaran Kilheeney as Town took control.
Clitheroe pulled a goal back a minute before half time and set some nerves jangling when they reduced the arrears to one in the 59th minute.
But Nathan Burke gave his side breathing space again seven minutes later and settled matters with his second in the 90th minute.
