Halton Borough 1 Burtonwood Albion 3
TWO second-half goals on the break after soaking up 20 minutes of pressure sealed the points for Burtonwood Albion at Halton Borough in the Warrington and District League Premier Division.
Hash Dixon and Alex Brisco both finished off well to make it 3-0.
The lead was gained initially when Ben Brown pitched a long throw to the near post for Craig Spurling to flick the ball home.
Halton scored a penalty in the last minute when Burtonwood’s keeper Lee Dixon was judged to have brought down their striker.
Orford Res 1 Winwick 2
KIRK Davison scored a late winner to earn Winwick victory at Orford Park in Division Two.
The first half ended goalless after chances were spurned at both ends.
Winwick took the lead when a 30-yard strike from James Cookson was deflected into the net.
Orford equalised through a Liam McLoughlin penalty shortly afterwards.
Dan Cunningham held off a number of Orford defenders before slipping in Davison to poke home the winner.
Crosfields 2 Bruche 2
ROCK bottom Crosfields held high-flying Bruche to a draw in Division Five.
Bruche started the first half poorly and went 2-0 behind after strikes from Alex Astbury and Karl Matther.
Bruche got back in the name just before half time when Matthew Davenport scored his first senior goal.
The leveller came from a Paul Jones free kick in a much brighter second half from Bruche but a point shared was considered fair.
