Rylands 2 Crewe FC 0
RYLANDS claimed maximum points against Cheshire League Premier Division top-four outfit Crewe FC on Saturday.
Greg Freeman and Dave Berry netted either side of the break at Gorsey Lane.
“It’s an important win for us against an in-form side,” said boss Dave Parr afterwards.
“We kept our shape really well, especially in the second half, and I was delighted with certain players who were asked to play out of position and did so superbly.
“The players who came into the side did really well, and set a great example of commitment that everyone would do well to follow.”
Freeman, on his first start, opened the scoring with a speculative effort on 16 minutes.
Rylands had to wait until the 67th minute to seal the points, when Berry converted from Joel Brownhill’s pass.
Rylands: Moor, Finch, Ajayi, Sinker, Wilson, Tierney (Dykes 78), Freeman (Bell 67), Berry (Farrelly 78), Brownhill, Daniels, Brownhills.
