FOLLOWING Warrington Town's heroic FA Cup giant-killing of Exeter City last Friday, one fan decided to reach for his quill and produce this poem to commemorate the occasion.
"The FA Cup on a Friday night, Town put up one almighty fight.
Robbo glances, a goal is hit, the minutes go slow and the nails are bit.
Half time comes and we need the rest, whoever said we would be second best.
Time now for Reidy to instill belief, that's why we have him as our "chief".
The second half begins, you can hear the roar. Let's just hope there's no other score.
The game progresses, it's still one nil. Although it's beginning to feel uphill.
Reidy yells"we're almost there"..
At this watch, I'm beginning to stare.
The ref blows, the players embrace, on to the pitch 2,000 race.
Heroes each and everyone, Reidy's belief that this would be done."
