WARRINGTON Town front man Ben Wharton wants to do it all again on the weekend of December 6.

Shaun Reid’s men will feature in the FA Cup second round after Friday night’s massive cup upset against League Two side Exeter City in front of the BBC television cameras at a sold-out Cantilever Park.

Wharton, aged 24, said: “Let’s have a League team at home again on TV. That’s all you could ask for!”

Town’s blonde haired striker, who was the second highest scorer in Evo-Stik First Division North last season, found it difficult to comprehend the scenes after sending Exeter crashing out.

A pitch invasion led to the players being chairlifted by spectators to the dressing rooms, where the team sung and danced in celebration of their achievement before returning to the field to mingle with their families, friends and supporters.

“I can’t even describe it. It was unbelievable,” he said.

“I lost my voice with all the singing in the changing rooms afterwards.

“Everything at the end was just ridiculous. I’ve never known anything like that in my life. I don’t even know what was going on to be honest, nobody knows. It was unbelievable. All I can keep saying is unbelievable.

“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done in football by a mile.”
