EAGLE Sports progressed through to the quarter finals of the J.B. Parker Cup with a 92nd-minute Ged McAllister strike edging them over the line in a 3-2 win over Sandbach United.

Eagle started the game brightly and were quick to open up the home defence when McAllister brought the ball down in the box and finished low into the corner.

A goal came for both sides early in the second half and it looked as though the tie was destined for extra-time when the home side levelled late on, but McAllister found himself one-on-one in injury time and finished to send Eagle through.

Greenalls PSO also earned a place in the quarter finals as Ste Dowsett and Ben Slater found the net to beat Rudheath Social 2-1.

Poynton settled and Moor saved comfortably in the Rylands goal from Williams before the same player fired an angled effort wide of the goal.

Dan Sisson and Jordan Rigby scored for Grappenhall as the score was tied at 2-2 as the game headed into injury time before Odilon Koubemba met a cross and slotted home to win the match.

The Reserve League Cup saw Eagle Sports suffer a 6-5 defeat against West Didsbury and Chorlton, while Grappenhall Sports were beaten 5-3 at Denton.
