Warrington campus crowned champions
WARRINGTON campus men’s football third team were crowned league champions following a 5-0 victory over Burnley.
Lewis Griffiths celebrated being awarded next year’s captaincy with two goals, while Jake Green, Richard Pursehouse and Theo Logan completed the rout.
Elsewhere, the second team beat Keele 3-2 to ensure they ended their season as runners-up.
Men’s rugby union lost 29-24 at Bangor in their penultimate game and the women’s football ended their season without a win following a 3-0 loss to Cumbria.
