WARRINGTON Town got an unexpected day off yesterday, when their New Year's Day Evo-Stik Division One North match-up against Northwich Victoria at Cantilever Park was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The match was due to be their third in the space of a week, marking the end of the busy festive period that has seen Town defeat Prescot Cables 2-0 on Boxing Day before losing 1-0 to Clitheroe two days later.
The Yellows, who forfeited their top-of-the-table position to Curzon Ashton as a result of the postponement, are now preparing for the trip to mid-table Ossett Albion on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
