GRANGE FC under 12s show off their brand new training jackets, bought after winning £500 sponsorship from the Warrington Guardian.
Joined by secretary Gemma Robinson and team manager Matthew Bright, Grange followed the photoshoot with a tough County Cup round three match against higher league opposition Haydock FC.
They started well, keeping the game firmly in the balance and even making more of their early chances, with Josh Bushnell’s shot giving them a slender advantage after 11 minutes.
But Haydock bridged the gap before half time and in the second period they blitzed Grange with a killer 15-minutes spell to make it 4-1.
As full time approached, Grange’s hearts were simply not in the game.
Jake Robinson pulled back a late consolation goal with one of his trademark free kicks, but it was all too little too late as Haydock ran out worthy 7-2 winners.
