SCOTT Burgess, from Penketh High School, scored an extra time winner to send Cheshire’s under 16s boys through to the last eight of a national competition.
His goal secured a 2-1 win against Cleveland in an English Schools’ FA Inter County Trophy third round tie at Congleton, where William Beamont Community High School pupil Liam O’Neill hit the net too.
Their reward is a trip to Lancashire in the quarter finals.
