RYLANDS fought back from a 1-0 deficit to progress to the last four of the Liverpool County FA Challenge Cup.

An impressive second-half performance, including two goals in four minutes from Liam Walker and Scott Tebb, saw off the Liverpool side.

“We are all delighted to progress in such a prestigious cup competition, it was a thoroughly deserved win,” said manager Dave Parr.

“The lads adapted to a different system really well and had belief in themselves to progress against a very decent and capable side.”

The tie had been switched to Gorsey Lane after two successive postponements due to a waterlogged pitch.

Rylands: Moor, Parr, Howard, Ward, Prescott, Brown, Tebb, Walker, Jennings (Warder), Smith (Williams), Bakkor.
