Orford turn on style in best display

Orford 3 St Michaels 0

ORFORD closed the gap on Warrington and District Premier Division leaders Runcorn Albion with a three-goals defeat of third-placed St Michaels.

Joseph Holt hit a thunderbolt opening goal to get them started.

Stuart Smith doubled the lead and Liam McLoughlin completed a comfortable victory with a fine finish after a collective move to cap Orford's best performance of the season so far.

They hope to take that form into the quarter final of the Guardian Cup this Saturday when they host higher-ranked Cheshire League neighbours Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds at the Jubilee Hub, kick off 2pm.
