Orford fight back to progress

ORFORD progressed to the next round of the Guardian Cup as a reward for beating Warrington and District Football League rivals Beeches.
They came from behind twice to do it though, Stuart Smith driving in from distance to restore parity after their opponents had taken the lead.
Beeches bagged a second goal from the restart, a lead they held until Liam McLoughlin applied the finishing touch to a move combination involving Brown and Holt to make it 2-2.
Orford edged ahead when Smith teed up McLoughlin for his second – and the contest’s clinching – goal.

* ORFORD’S reserves required a penalty shoot out to see off their Blackbrook counterparts in the Depot Cup, Tom Smith converting the decisive spot kick.
