Double for Tigers

APPLETON Tigers grabbed back-to-back wins in the Twenty20 Western Division and the Cheshire Women’s League at the weekend.
They started with a comfortable 99-run victory against Hawarden in the T20 competition, secured by Lauren O'Reilly’s 3 for 1, and knocks from Jen Regan, 25, and Wendy Lee, 24.
They then got their Cheshire Women’s League title defence underway with a six-wicket victory over Trafford MV.
Tigers restricted Trafford to 101 for 8, with Annie Rashid and Nat Long each grabbing two wickets.
Jenna Mape, 28, and Nat Lyons, 22, helped them reach that target for the loss of four wickets.
