WARRINGTON were unable to halt Didsbury’s march to the title in Cheshire County League Division One, suffering a seven-wicket defeat.

They were dismissed for 102 after being put in, with a stand worth 32 runs for the third wicket between Mal Agar (30) and captain Richard Heaney (24) the most meaningful.

Warrington’s seconds drew with their Bowdon counterparts, who they restricted to 176-7 thanks to Aaron Soni (4-39).

James Lewis (35) was leading scorer in a reply that closed on 163-7.

Mike Fagan-Hall took 5-28 for Warrington in a five-wicket win at Neston in the Cheshire County League’s Sunday Premier Division.

Needing 143 to win, the visitors made it there safely thanks to Paolo Manfredi (58no) and Isaac Webster (30).
