WITH the season entering the finishing straight, Warrington were well beaten by second placed Bollington.

Warrington's nine-wicket loss saw the victors leapfrog them in the Cheshire County League Division Two.

With three batsmen, Richard Heaney, Nathan Green and Will Fleetwood, top scoring on 13 Warrington were bowled out for 69 runs.

Bollington coasted home for the loss of one wicket at 70-1, Nathan Green, 1 for 22, claiming the only scalp.

Warrington seconds won by 15 runs against Sale.

Put into bat, Warrington’s top order took on the challenge with the runs being shared Simon Swain, 55, James Lewis, 43, Joe Quinn, 33, and Isaac Webster, 28, top scored as Warrington reached 198 for 6 in their allotted overs.

When fielding this was again a team effort Billy Gilbert, 2 for 10, Isaac Webster, 2 for 34, backed up by Ryan Swart, 1 for 32, Phil Whelan, 1 for 33, and Brad Roden, 1 for 31, with Warrington claiming the last wicket with a run out to give them a narrow 15 run victory.

Warrington's third team lost by seven wickets to their Chester Boughton Hall counterparts.

With the loss of three early wickets, Vijay Doraisamy, 27, redressed the balance and it was only the late middle order Rob Dempster, 48, and Joe Pennington, 28, gave the home side a ray of hope as they were bowled out for the below par score of 134.

The strong Chester side set about the task of chasing down the Warrington total losing only three wickets to Alister Begg 1-17, Joe Pennington 1-27 and Harley Barrett 1-29 to give them a 7 wicket victory.

Cheadle Hulme beat the fourths by 61 runs as Warrington were skittled for 88.

On a seaming wicket it was a day for the bowlers as the league leaders had the rare experience of being bowled out for 149.

Arshan Dadrualla, 4 for 25, Mans Naseem, 3 for 35, and Sameer Sing, 2 for 37, were the pick of the bowlers.

The wicket did little to improve in the second innings as Warrington struggled to make inroads on the home side's total with only three batsmen making double figures and were bowled out for 88.
