APPLETON Tigers remain top of Division One with three games to go after a fantastic performance to win against Wistaston.

Emma Barlow, 93, and Chloe Page, 21, both recorded their highest scores of the season in a brilliant partnership of 88 which put Appleton in a commanding position at 150 for 4.

Sami Fowler and Annie Rashid bowled economically to put Wistaston on the back foot from the start, before Olivia Horsfield and Kaytlin Watterson came on to rattle through the middle order.

Under 13s player Molly White took her first senior wicket to secure the victory thanks to a catch from keeper Poppy Beardsell, Wistaston finishing all out for 56.

Meanwhile, Appleton’s under 15s star Kathryn Jackson opened the bowling for Cheshire women against Hertfordshire and dismissed their top four bowlers for just 15 runs to help Cheshire storm to victory.

Appleton are through to the semi-finals of the T20 Cup having won the East Division and are due to face Chester Deemons in early August.
