STRETTON continue to lead the way in the Cheshire Alliance top flight, despite defeat to title rivals Wistaston on Saturday.
They lost by 18 runs after the hosts put on 182 for 5, with Ali Zubairi taking 3 for 36, before being bowled out for 14.
Wistaston won the toss, batted and enjoyed solid scores from George Barlow, 56, Dan Blundred, 45, and Gareth Barnes, unbeaten on 30.
In reply, Stretton fell for 164 with Suhaib Arshad top scoring with 40 and A Raza making 34.
Wistaston's James Hogben took 4 for 30 and Keith Thornhill 4 for 36.
