GLAZEBURY are within two points of the promotion places as they start the second half of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division One season against Westminster Park on Saturday.
That is courtesy of another maximum-point haul against Tranmere Victoria, featuring a devastating spell of fast bowling from captain Sam Stanier to take 7 for 23.
Six Glazebury batsmen made it into double figures, but none were able to kick on to a score of any significance.
Despite 43 overs of graft, Glazebury were dismissed for 100.
The loss of both openers inside the first seven balls of their reply put Vics on the back foot and when the third wicket fell with just 11 on the board, Glazebury moved in for the kill.
Stanier clean-bowled five of his victims.
There was a brief rally from the Tranmere last pair but they were eventually all out for 74.
