Wright rules for Rylands
LEADERS Rylands suffered a first defeat in their past half-dozen Cheshire Alliance matches on Saturday.
Wes Jenkins scored a half-century, while Graeme Rowlands made 48, as they totalled 169 all out at Bowdon Vale after winning the toss.
However the hosts made it home at 171 for 5 thanks to 50s from John Ollier and Nomaan Hassan.
In Division Four West, Rylands’ second string edged their Maritime counterparts by 14 runs.
Andy Mansfield, with 36, and Geoff Shaw’s 30 took the hosts to 172 for 8 before in-form Bob Wright bagged a second six-wicket haul of the campaign to bowl out Maritime for 158.
