RYLANDS' winning streak continued on Saturday as they beat Eastham to stay seven points clear of Cheshire Alliance Division Two leaders Maritime.

Winning the toss and batting first, the hosts limped to 135 all out with Richard Buck’s 47 the highest score.

Eastham soon reached 50 before Sujith, 3 for 28, uprooted the middle stump of the Eastham opener as the visitors went on to fall for 92.

In Division Four, the seconds took a nine-wicket win at Wirral.

The hosts were all out for 138, Jordan Carroll the pick of the Rylands attack with 4 for 33.

In reply, Andy Lowe, 41, and Andy Barker, 56 not out, put on a 100-run opening stand before the loss of Lowe’s wicket.

The calming influence of Geoff Shaw at number three was enough to see Rylands reach their target and leave Merseyside with 25 points.

Rylands are still looking for players to join the club this season and anyone interested can join them at training from 6.30pm on Thursday nights at Rylands, or contact Matt on 07834 157164.
