Tigers bowlers unable to contain Didsbury
APPLETON Tigers missed out on the chance to defend the Cheshire Women’s League’s Twenty20 Plate title as a result of losing to Didsbury with two overs to spare.
Quick scoring by Emma Barlow, 24, and Chris McLean, 11, helped Appleton set a decent looking 76 for 8 off 16 overs.
Olivia Horsfield conceded only 10 runs from four overs but Didsbury scored boundaries with ease after that.
