GRAPPENHALL earned a place in the semi finals of the T20 Cup with a high-scoring win against Sale on Sunday.

Openers Adam Roylance, 51, and Jimmy McCoy, 33, got the home side off to a flier and set the pace for the middle order to follow with Josh McClelland, 41 not out, helping his side reach a good score of 205 for 6.

Sale were always behind the required run rate and the dismissal of the away side’s top scorer, who made 65, by Albert Pennington, 2 for 18, appeared to put the game to bed.

Sale could only reach 170 for 6 in their 20 overs and the result will now see Grappenhall play in the Finals Day on Sunday, July 27.
