KYLE Adams claimed six wickets to help Warrington win by the same amount at Northwich in the Cheshire County Division Two on Saturday.

Adams finished with figures of 6 for 35 as the home side were bowled out for 105.

A team effort from Chris Kirby, 29, Richard Hearney, 25, Sam Houghton, 21, and Brad McIntosh, 20, saw Warrington home to claim a six-wicket victory.

Warrington seconds beat Brooklands seconds by nine wickets in the Second XI Division One, with a strong batting performance from the top of the order.

Brooklands finished on 200 for 4 which Warrington’s top order trio got to with ease.

Tom Clutterbuck scored 90 before Tushar Mahambry, 77 not out, and Brendan Morris, 36 not out, saw their side home with 204 for 1.

Warrington thirds added to the club’s successful weekend with a win over high-flying Chester thirds in the Third XI Division One on Saturday.

Chester declared after 48 overs on 204 for 7 and 15-year-old Tom Higham got Warrington off to a good chase with a knock of 65.

Other top-order batsman kept the runs ticking over before Alan Hitchmough, 33 not out, marshalled Warrington to a five-wicket victory in the 52nd over.

Warrington fourths stayed bottom of the table after a defeat to league-leaders Chester in the Third XI Division Two.

Warrington were beaten by seven wickets after a modest total of 133 all out failed to cause any problems.

Dave Lee, 58 not out, was the only batsman to emerge with any credit and he also managed to pick up a wicket but could not stop Chester from reaching the target in the 19th over.
