GLAZEBURY kept up their impressive 100 percent home record this season as they secured a fine win against promotion-chasing Holmes Chapel at The Lane.

Dave Acton, 7 for 31, stole the show as Holmes Chapel were dismissed for 145.

Sam Stanier, 3 for 48, took the other wickets as Glazebury set up a good platform for victory.

They were forced to pull themselves out of a sticky situation to take the win as they found themselves at 51 for 5.

A solid partnership from Jack Warhurst, 58 not out, and Dean Lord, 54 not out, turned the tide.

The pair put on an unbroken 97 for the sixth wicket to take their side to victory in the 29th over.

Glazebury seconds followed suit by beating Audlem, who had been unbeaten since losing to the Hurst Lane side on the opening day of the season.

Audlem made 153 in 42.4 overs, with Ged Southworth, 4 for 16, having an excellent day with the ball.

Glazebury got home with four wickets and five overs to spare.
