JON Gibbons claimed a five-wicket haul as Glazebury increased their chances of survival in the Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division One with a crushing win over Ellesmere Port.
A half-century for skipper Jack Warhurst helped Glazebury to 204 for 7 before a lethal bowling attack swept aside the Port batting order for just 55.
Openers Dean Lord and Dave Mason set Glazebury on their way with an opening stand of 60 with Lord going on to score 47.
Warhurst’s 51 from 68 balls allowed Glazebury to declare at 204 after 43 overs.
Gibbons then produced a deadly spell of 5 for 23 to set up the victory before Sam Stanier and Kyle Keeble took two wickets each to wrap up the Ellesmere innings for 55.
