UNDER 13s players Kaytlin Watterson and Charlotte Robinson grabbed wickets to help Appleton Tigers women beat Hawarden Park in the midweek T20 West game, before the side lost to league leaders Oakmere on Saturday.

Emma Barlow reached 26 runs and Camille Wood posted 25 to each get to the retirement score and give Appleton a good start in the T20.

The home side kicked on and reached 116 for 2 from their 20 overs before the two youngsters Watterson and Robinson each took two wickets for 20 runs as Hawarden were bowled out for 91.

Appleton could only set a target of 83 against Oakmere with Barlow’s knock of 45 not out, before Oakmere strolled home to reach 84 for 1 with eight overs left.
