APPLETON Tigers clinched the Plate title for the third time with a 41-run victory over Hawarden Park.

Emma Barlow and Jen Regan’s rapid half century opening stand laid the foundations for Appleton, as Barlow retired on 27 and Regan made 22.

Natalie Lyons made 27 retired as Appleton recorded a run-a-ball run rate to make 124-2.

Salma Bi led the charge for Park in reply, but her innings of 19 was ended by Nathalie Long.

Lyons conceded only three runs in three overs and Regan ten in her four to keep the second division outfit to 83-7.
