GLAZEBURY succumbed to an eight-wicket loss at high-flying Haslington on Saturday in the Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division One.
It was the relentless bowling of the league’s top-wicket taker Tom Gledhill, 7 for 25, that went some way to skittling the visitors for 57, as only Matthew Shailer’s unbeaten 16 and Jack Warhurst, 10, were able to post double figures.
In reply, only Warhurst, 1 for 10, and Christopher Ayre, 1 for 17, could stall Haslington as they eased to the required total in the 12th over.
