GRAPPENHALL were left frustrated after their Vivio Cheshire County League Premier Division match against Toft was ended early at Broad Lane.
Having headed in to bat first, the hosts posted a significant total of 221 for 8 thanks to a star turn from opener Adam Roylance, 77.
He batted with authority to put his side on a firm footing built upon by skipper Richard Green who overcame a neck injury to add a further 56 to the total.
Gareth Burns contributed a handy 21 before Grappenhall declared as the heavens opened.
After tea the teams agreed to share the spoils with the hosts earning 10 points for their batting performance.
They head next to struggling Macclesfield this weekend, where they hope a maximum points haul will help keep their title hopes alive.
