GRAPPENHALL’S thirds were left frustrated and having to settle for seven points as their match at Toft on Sunday was washed out.
Skipper Rob Slater threw Richard Wiles and Tom Hulme in to spearhead the attack and Wiles’ wicket left Toft at 88 for 1 off 23 overs before the rain hit.
Grappers return to Broad Lane against Sale on Sunday, but their title challenge looks over after league-leaders Hyde won the only completed fixture of the day.
