Rylands Sharks 48 Aspull New Spring Lions 6

GORSEY Lane was illuminated by Rylands Sharks’ best display of the season so far in North West Men’s League Division Five.

Player-coach Liam Lawton got them off to a flyer before Chis Meacock and Jack Cann’s tries, both converted by Craig Lawton, gave them further comfort.

Visitors Aspull got themselves on the board, but Rylands then hit a purple patch of five tries in 15 minutes either side of half-time.

Aaron Holliday, Phil Risley, Craig Lawton, Rob Campbell and Sam Driscoll all crossed, with four of them converted.

Driscoll then doubled his tally late on to add further gloss to the scoreline.

The Sharks travel to Bolton Mets on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
