Woolston Rovers A 34 Westhoughton Lions 18

ANOTHER outstanding display from Woolston Rovers A allowed them to move back to the top of Division Four on Saturday.

Sam Files scored a try in either half for Rovers, while Liam Sullivan's 12-point personal haul encompassed a try and five goals.

Kieran Jones, Kieran Moore and Olly Hands also crossed for the hosts, who lead the division on points difference with a game in hand on second-placed Langworthy.

Sullivan crossed on the left to open the scoring before Sam Pennington's converted effort levelled matters for Westhoughton.

Files opened his account to give Rovers a 12-6 half-time lead and Callum Moore put Jones over on the right to extend the advantage.

However, tries from Taylor Hylands and Jack Beck put the Lions ahead for the first time.

Rovers' response was immediate as Moore crossed left of the posts before Owen Hazlehurst's pass sent Hands charging over.

Files was put over by his brother Adam for the game's final try in the last minute.
