Latchford Albion 72 Haresfinch 7

LATCHFORD’S procession of points against a depleted Haresfinch side comes as no surprise, coach Lee Smith says.

Chris Griffiths starred for Albion at Victoria Park as his 28-point personal haul encompassed a hat-trick of tries and eight conversions.

Luke Hickman also ran in a treble as well as one conversion as Smith’s side racked up their biggest victory of the season.

Phil Woolacott and Adam Wadsworth both scored twice, with further tries coming from Jake Ashall and Owen Nugent, who also added three goals.

“We have been threatening a performance like that, so it is good to see the hard work the boys are doing in training being transferred onto the pitch,” Smith said.

“Apart from a 15-minute spell in the second half, where the game got a bit scrappy, we stuck to our game plan and got our just rewards.”

Albion’s next game sees them welcome defending champions Haydock to Victoria Park on Saturday, June 24th.
