FOUR of Woolston Rovers’ junior sides are in cup semi-final action on Saturday.

The club’s under 12s are still awaiting confirmation of their opponents, but the under 13s entertain near neighbours Crosfields.

The under 14s and under 15s Greens are also at home, facing Golborne Parkside and Shevington Sharks respectively for cup final places.

“The amount of work that has been done by many people at the club over the past few years cannot be underestimated,” Rovers public relations officer Dave Whalley said.

“From having only four junior sides a few years back to 15 now is testament to the effort and dedication and we are starting to reap rewards that we hope will see the club prosper for many years to come.

“We would like to wish each of our sides all the very best in what is sure to be a special day for all the players, coaches, management and supporters.

“Hopefully all of them can be victorious but whatever the outcome of the games we are immensely proud of each side for getting through to this stage.”
