LATCHFORD Giants put in a spirited display in defeat to a more experienced Pilkington side on Saturday.
The visitors were 16-0 to the good at half time in poor conditions, but Lewis Doodson’s powerful run got Latchford over the try line after the break.
Some good play then saw Leo Foy cross, with Callum Lyon also adding a conversion as Giants fell short.

RYLANDS Sharks under 8s ran in nine tries in their victory over Heysham Atoms under 8s, with Jasper Porter, Abbie Tickle and Theo Naylor all scoring tries.
Lewis McCormack, Logan O'Reilly, McKenzie Morris, Ryan Collins, Harry McCarthy and Rhys Hogan added Rylands’ other scores.
