CHRIS Twigg from Woolston Rovers made his debut for Thailand against El Salvador in their debut international.

The 18-year-old former Warrington Wolves academy player, who usually plays on the wing for Woolston, featured at stand off and had a good game, landing two conversions in his side's 32-12 win.

Head coach Brian Smith, elder brother of Wolves boss Tony Smith, had some words of praise for him after the game.

The next game is on Wednesday when Thailand face Hungary and Twigg will be hoping that his display against El Salvador will be enough to keep him in the side.
