WOOLSTON Rovers open-age section will be holding a meeting this Saturday at their Monks Sports Club home on Hillock Lane in Woolston at noon.

Head coach John Fieldhouse, the former Warrington Wolves and Great Britain forward, will outline his plans for the 2017 season.

The National Conference League side will once again be playing in Division Three, having last month suffered heartache in a promotion play-off final for the second successive year.

Rovers' North West Men’s League side will take their place in Division Four, after this year's relegation.

Next year Fieldhouse will have Neil Smith as his assistant coach with the Conference League side, while he has confirmed that Andy Penny will coach the NWML team and he will be assisted by Steve Moore.

Any former and new players, along with current players from the 2016 open-age and under 18s sides, will be made very welcome on Saturday.

Pre-season training will then commence next Tuesday on the 3G pitch at University Academy Warrington (formerly Padgate High/Lysander High), Insall Road, Padgate starting at 6.45pm.
